A sane person, witnessing completely illogical actions, will conclude that either the perpetrators themselves are insane, or else they're sane but being manipulated and/or forced into taking those actions. Questioning the meaning of insanities over the years has had a big part in my 'awakening' and as the whole scene spirals into madness we may hope for a similar impact on others.
Some of that most blatant madness occurs in the sports/racism arena, to the extent that any rational person, quietly contemplating the evidence, would of necessity conclude that we do indeed live in The Matrix. I've frequently cited instances where bans and custodial sentences have been imposed on players and supporters for engaging in what heretofore would have been seen as harmless banter.
But the madness goes so much further than that. In the recent Manchester United Real Madrid tie, for which, according to the ever-modest Jose Mourinho, '
the world stopped to watch', prime, vastly expensive advertising space was given over to 'anti-racist' slogans. Same with most other top Champions League games. Who paid for this? And why?
But the insanity gets deeper. UEFA now allows referees to abandon a match where supporters become 'racially offensive'. Just for a moment let the ramifications of that sink in. A team is losing a vital tie so some of their supporters, identifiable as such or not, start racist chanting. Match abandoned. Same if a protected minority player claims to the referee that he was subjected to racial abuse. His word is taken and the opponent faces a long ban. It means the whole organisation of the sport degenerates into an unworkable shambles. And all for what? Meanwhile crucial issues like dire corruption and match fixing are virtually ignored.
The latest from the asylum relates to uber-prick Rio Ferdinand who 'has
expressed his shock over allegations that he and his brother Anton were the
subject of racist songs by England supporters during last week's World Cup
qualifier.' Cue panic at FA HQ. Understandably. Because FIFA have jumped in to investigate
'these serious allegations' and a guilty verdict could result in England having to play their next game behind closed doors, depriving 90,000 fans of watching the game and the FA of millions of pounds in revenue. As happened to Hungary last week.
And the evidence for the offence? Some English fans shouted that Ferdinand should be
'burned on a bonfire' for accepting a lucrative TV contract rather than playing for England. Excuse me, but how exactly is this racist? Over to FARE, the sports anti-racist group (who pays for their parasitical existence?)
“One of the things we want to underline straight off is that sometimes
racism doesn’t only take the form of monkey chants or bananas being thrown.
Sometimes there are things that are more subtle at play. I think there is an
undercurrent of race there. Other people have thought it has been imbued with
racist overtones"
Yes, it's on the basis of this that the English FA has gone into panic mode, that FIFA has despatched a squad of investigators. Seriously, have we not descended into a frothing cauldron of madness?
Well maybe, maybe not.
You see there are indeed naive and degraded orcs and careerist scoundrels who front these actions. But, as Dr. Frank Ellis pointed out in a different context,
'their naivete is all too readily exploited by those schooled in the ways of tyranny, forces cruel and wicked, depraved and unforgiving, mendacious and cowardly, and these forces, with the collusion of the gullible and the viciously stupid, ensured that England perished.'
Yes indeed. Only the gullible and the viciously stupid can still believe we're not being systematically destroyed. Which begs the question, are our destroyers over-playing their hand? The Hungarians deprived of their football, the fans and players banished and jailed for 'offensive' remarks.........will they repent and conform? Or will a silent rage slowly and steadily grow within them?
Dum spiro, spero.
